Greetings. The year is 2383, and the Alpha Quadrant is shifting beneath the weight of old rivalries and new opportunities.

The Romulan Star Empire is fracturing, its once-dominant grasp slipping as worlds break away, seeking independence or applying for Federation membership. Though tensions remain high, diplomatic efforts spearheaded by Captain Riker and the USS Titan in the years following Shinzon’s coup have paved the way for cautious cooperation. The Federation has become more than just an observer in Romulan affairs—now, there are doors opening that were once sealed shut.

The Klingon Empire sees opportunity in the instability, reclaiming former territories while Federation diplomats scramble to diffuse tensions, wary of another war erupting in the shadows of old conflicts. Having finally recovered from the Dominion War, Starfleet turns its focus back to exploration and peaceful contact, but the specter of political unrest remains ever-present.

I am Captain Tomas Jorin of the USS Sirius. Nearly a year has passed since my crew and I returned from the Delta Quadrant. Six years we spent stranded in the unknown, facing threats Starfleet has yet to document. Making it home was supposed to be the end of the struggle, but reintegration has been its own challenge. The Federation has moved forward without us. Alliances have shifted, familiar worlds are now unfamiliar, and some of us have found that the lives we left behind no longer have a place for us.

For our survival, Starfleet saw fit to give us a new ship—a new mission, a new chance to prove we can still serve. But even aboard the Sirius-A, the question remains: where do we belong now?

We must find our place again, navigating old adversaries and new, while we seek out new life and new civilizations.
