Fraise was born March 10th, 2344 in Hargeisa, Somalia of the African Confederation on Earth to Saskia Fraise, a Starfleet xenobiologist

and later researcher on the expedition studying the Bajoran wormhole aliens and Rafael Fraise, a Starfleet engineer who teaches at

Starfleet Academy in San Francisco, Earth. Fraise has two younger sisters, Anika who lives on Earth and Mudiwa, a third year cadet in

Starfleet Academy. During his second year, Fraise was hospitalised for 2 months after he was injured during a routine zero-g training

exercise.

Fraised served aboard the USS Sagan on her final tour, studying gas giants and stellar anomalies prior to being decommissioned in 2370. An aging Oberth class vessel, the Sagan required close attention and often, unconventional solutions to keep her working while light-years away from repair facilities. Skills that three years later, would earned Fraise a promotion to lieutenant (JG) while aboard the USS Binary, when a negligent junior engineer missed a faulty impulse injector. Noticing the mistake, Fraise prevented two decks of the

ship being blown out to space.

After serving seven years aboard the USS Binary, Fraise transferred to Utopia Planetia Shipyards, working mostly on research and

development for the new Halkin class, for which he was received a promotion to Lieutenant. In 2385, Starfleet reassigned Fraise to work on re-comissioning a Nebula class starship, which would later become the USS Sirius-A. Unable to find a chief engineer familiar with the Nebula class design, Starfleet assigned him as temporary chief engineer. By 2387, Fraise was working as assistance chief engineer under Lieutenant Cmdr Tom, Jackson, until his death. Where Fraise found himself once again filling the role of acting chief engineer.
