Ke grew up in the Nemu homeworld from birth, He is descended from ancestors who migrated in the Nemu Reconfiguration. (See Nemu Primer) Ke developed a strong desire to leave the Nemu star system at an early age. Fortunately, Ke’s childhood gifts drew the attention of the Nemu Exploration Department, and he was one several candidates assigned synthetic bodies in 2382, prior to his enrollment in Starfleet.
Ke is part of a post-Dominion War graduating class and has less in-field combat experience as is typical for a Security officer. However, he is a seasoned engineer, and has requested frequent transfers between departments. After graduation, Dodo was routinely assigned to away teams in frequent off-world or derelict starships, and demonstrated strong application of knowledge of Federation, Starfleet vessels and systems, as well an affinity for sensor modification especially aboard Nebula-class starships.
